9. E-mail Addresses, Birth Dates and Links to Third Party Sites.

Our Internet site reflects many thousands of e-mail addresses contributed by a variety of third parties. We do not sell e-mail addresses to anyone. We assume no responsibility for currency or correctness of data but make a constant and professional effort to present accurate information. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has in the past distributed birth date as part of the official record. They no longer do so, though birth dates still remain from earlier distributions. Individuals may request that birth date, or other data, be deleted from our database via e-mail or written notice. Note that the year of birth is very useful to find old friends or relatives, or differentiate between many people with the exact same name, such as John Smith. You can choose for us to leave your year of birth in the database, just ask us to delete the month and day only.

We cannot change name and address information that comes from the FCC, but we can delete your entire record if you don't wish to be listed at all. Of course, deleting your record from the HamCall database does not affect the FCC database or all the other callsign servers that publish the FCC data.

Due to the volatility and changing nature of data we can assume no responsibility for currency or correctness. We can block or remove any record/site which reflects misuse or is in bad taste. Requests for such actions must be made in writing by an individual directly. No liability is assumed for action or inaction on the part of Buckmaster.
