Each of these files is recorded at 22.050 kHz, in 8-bit mono to conserve space and shorten download time over the 'net. Even so, they are each 715kb in size, so they may take some time to load over a slow Internet connection. The Bailey's Banjo(tm) CD was digitally recorded and mastered in stereo at 48 kHz for high sound quality, and then converted to 44.1 kHz, the standard Audio CD sampling rate, for natural-sounding playback on any CD player.
